From concept through the detailed design phase, Surefire engineers made product improvements by probing digital prototypes to pinpoint precise internal and external temperatures driven by natural convection and radiation.

Full product details in the CAD model -- like springs and small washers -- were included in final stage CFdesign analyses, giving total product performance picture before physical test validation.

Similar to a thermal imaging test setup, CFdesign allowed Surefire engineers to quickly and economically see a full spectrum of temperature results throughout the detailed design.
