A detailed 3D rendering shows a production-ready Robin engine optimized with CFdesign and I-DEAS. Engine shape is optimized through a series of design trade-off studies, the contour of the fan wing is modified, and, as a result, a more compact design is achieved. Engine concepts are built in I-DEAS and opened in CFdesign. Designers make all geometry changes in the CAD system to simplify the optimization process and ensure robust product data management.
